I've never dealt with bleeding before until now, I've spotted maybe twice or 3 times and that's it. Today I'm cramping, tender and bleeding pretty bad. Is this normal or should I consult my doctor? I can't afford to be seen unless I absolutly need to so wanted to see what others had to say. It's really bad cramping and like a normal heavy period. Is it normal or is it losing it's effectiveness?
I would consult your Dr if your bleeding and cramping is different than anything you have dealt with so far. There are many possibilities that could be causing the bleeding and cramping or it could be nothing but you need to check to be sure just in case it is a complication. If there is a complication, and you wait too long it could cost you way more than a simple office visit charge or copay.
A's a friend I would say-go to your doctor!! As a nurse I would say-go to a doctor A.S.A.P!! It is not normal to bleed like that. Don't want to scare you but, excessive bleeding like that is a sign of uterine cancer. Go get it checked out. I'm not a doctor, but just woman to woman, it's not normal and needs to be checked out. I had a niece with the same problems and same signs and she had uterine cancer. That kind of cancer can be easily handled if caught early. If you still want children, things such as egg harvesting can be done so at a later date you could use a surrogate to have a biological child. But let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet!! It may be something else entirely, that is easily managed. Best of luck to you. Write back if you want. I'm a night nurse, so I'm easy to reach. NIK
