i'm taking 100mg ms contin 3Xday and 30mg ms IR every 4hrs. the morphine "manages" the pain somewhat but no way stops it. additionally im bothered by severe siatic nerve pain before and after the surgery. am wondering if using fentynol patches along with the morphine might aid in controlling my pain and making it possible to resume som kind of a normal life out of bed.
Sorry to hear you have multiple issues. Personally I would recommend methadone. These sound like chronic pain problems.
I don't like to recommend something I could not continue to take.
But in low doses, regular EKG's (very important) I think its your last choice. I don't suggest you start it unless you plan to take it for life. Believe me, very hard to come off of. Taken in appropriate doses it is the best pain medicine available, cheap as well.
Contrary to what you may have heard, it has absolutely no long term affects on your body.
You are building tolerances to your meds.I am sure they are reeking havoc on your body and mind. Do some research on it, and make an educated decision. God Bless. Sable
