... REALLY A HIGH DOSE. Is this true?( srry didnt mean to yell)
Hi quieenym- You mean, you are taking 16 mg. 3 times a day? Yes, that is a very high dose. I have extremely high tolerance, even though sober for quite some time, and 16 mg. twice a day knocked me out. I am now on 2 mg. twice a day, total of 4 mg. a day, and it works fine, both for long term pain in my joints and for staying clean/sober. Try to remember that, unless you are taking it for pain management, in which case, it would still be a high dose, the ultimate goal is to be at the lowest dose possible without relapse or cravings... right?! So, personally I would want to lower the dose as soon as it could be safely done with the Dr's. help. And, really try to find the lowest manageable dose for you that still works. Of course, you'll want to supplement it with as much support from others as you can work in, if you are eventually trying to be either off completely or at the lowest functioning amount. I would just suggest that you keep your ultimate goal in mind... its not fun to be in that "constant seeking" mode or under the "control" of any medication so that you're constantly thinking about your next dose... Just my opinion, so Good luck! Jillian.
