I am a healthy 40 year old female. I have a fungus on my big toe now for about 6 years. My doctor prescribed me Itraconazole 100mg. I am really scared to take it after things I have been told and read. I am to take 2 capsules twice a day for 7 days then off for 21 days then another round for 7 days. Is it safe?
Its a matter of weighing the benefits against the risks. Only you and your doctor can decide if its right for you. Itraconazole does have some risks - ask your doctor what risks are specific to you and discuss with him/her what specifically concerns you.
