This is one of those conditions (similar to migraines)that does not respond to meds the same from person to person, and it is usually necessary to switch from one or two over a period of time.
Discuss with your Dr, if you like you are welcome to come back and let me know what's recommended as I hear a lot and suffered from it for years myself. I am deliberately not naming medications as it's best for you not to go in suggesting specifics, this turns most Drs off, and a few of these meds are on the "mos abused" list.
Just report your symptoms and see what's recommended/prescribed to start.
Hang in there, I know this condition can be very frustrating, especially at noght.

You should avoid taking Benadryl or the active ingredient in it as it's a RLS aggravator.
