Isotretinoin can use to finger warts? Any one have idea?
Dear Binuk, I noticed you have asked a number of questions about this medication. Isotrentoin in a really strong anti acne medication and certainly not the first medication used to treat a case of acne. It only treats acne, it will not treat the wart. Did a dermatologist prescribe this for you? Other treatments should be tried before isotrentoin for acne, examples of treatments would be antibiotics for acne, special skin scrubs, cleansers or skin drying agents and possibly other things. Did the dr not explain to you how strong or how many warnings and test you need while using this medication. Do NOT drink alcohol on it, this medication. itcan cause birth defects if either gender is on it when conception occurs, while you are on it. If you are male, you. should use condom and also have your partner use birthcontrol while you are on it. If you are female, in the US, a female has to be on 2 forms of birth control while on it. It is very hard on the liver and follow up blood work is given I think, monthly, for liver toxicity. There are medications and treatments for warts, they include over the counter liquids or pads, and also your dermatologist may be able to freeze the wart or use a lazer on it. Can you get back to us and tell us if you tried any other acne treatments, if you saw a dermatologist, and if you received any printed information with your rx for isotrentoin? Just noticed you had asked several questions about it and was concerned y may have not been properly informed by your dr or pharmacy about proper use of this med or anything else you should know about while taking it. This medication is really strong and has many warnings of things to do and things not to do while on it. Patti
