muscle pain that would work for me? I already have a hard time getting to sleep and the side effects of the statins are just too much. :(
I know how you feel. One of the meds that I take sometimes causes muscle aches (trazodone). What I use that really seems to help me, is tigerbalm. You can find anywhere, CVS, etc. and it really seems to work for me. I do that because I was worried about taking pain meds that would cause any drug interactions, so I started using that. Plus, I get aches and pains from the physical work I do and it helps.
Sleep is the most important thing in avoiding stiff and aching muscles! I have never had to take Statin, but I have dealt with Fibromyalgia for 30+ years. In the beginning I was able to use some all natural products to help with sleep. I can't remember what the names are and I'm sure things have changed drastically in the last 25 years, but I'm sure that your doctor can recommend something that is all natural that will not interfere with what you are already taking, mine did. I really wish you the very best because I went many years without sleeping and I know how miserable it makes you!
The following is a link to a list of medications for high cholesterol. While most of the meds on the list are in the statin class of drugs several are not. Have a look and ask your doctor about the other possibilites. Good luck. The link is: https://www.drugs.com/condition/hyperlipidemia.html
