I had an ischemic stroke last jan uary, I am okay now but theproblem is that iam still experiencing tingling and pains on my palms and toes, wat can I do as all the medication taken cant stop it. I am getting so frustrated. i was placed on neurobion forte by my doctor. H E SAID IT WAS A NERVE ISSUE, what other medication can you prescribe
I am sure you have been through a lot of blood work to assess your situation, but I'm curious as to whether your platelet count is up. This can cause the symptoms you describe as well as increase the likelihood of a stroke. What medications are you taking and what is your doctor saying about the tingling and pain in palms and toes?
So sorry to hear about your pain. I had terrible pain in parts of my body after my stroke, especially with my arm and hand. I had to have my arm folded up at night, which also left my hand tingling in near paralysis. So if you're doing that, try to straighten up your arm. The only thing that really helped was physical therapy. (I was on Lorcet and Tramadol for severe migraines which didn't help my body pain at all.) Wish you the best.
Is this really the only drug that he put you on? All this is a super vitamin pill. This does not make sense. It is possible that you may have a blood clot in your arm and lower leg. Did they do a D-dimer blood test? Even though this test may come back negative it still does not rule out that you have a small clot in your arm(s) or leg(s). Try and get a Doppler ultrasound of both your arms and legs. If he is unwilling to do this then you need to see a Hematologist and discuss your issue with him.
