No-Zoloft isn't a narcotic. It is classified as a anti-depressant. Both have been prescribed to treat depression. It can have side-effects similar to those of a person taking narcotic medication. Also the coming off of this prescription Zoloft can be as difficult as the stopping of narcotic treatments.
