I just received a refill on my allopurinol 100mg Rx. The pill is different - white, round, but half the size of the old generic I was taking. It is stamped "RG 10" on one side and has a single score mark on the back. The bottle says it was manufactured by Ranbaxy, but the US Ranbaxy site does not list allopurinol in their catalog. Just want to be sure this is the right pill. Thanks for any and all help.
Hi - this is a new tablet. Information only supplied to the FDA in July, so not all sites will be updated yet.
Here is the description supplied to the FDA
allopurinol tablets - 100 mg white to off-white colored, round, beveled edged uncoated tablets with "RG10" embossed on one side and breakline on the other side.
Hope that puts your mind to rest.
