Pharm was out of lortab so they gave me hydrocod/acet instead for some reason I had two take 2 hydro instead of just one to relif my knee pain. Lortab takes relifs the pain with just 1 pill. So just wondering is there a differencein them or my knee pain is getting worst?
Lortab is hydrocodone with acetominophen. The 7.5 refers to the number of milligrams of hydrocodone in the formula, the 5 also refers to the number of milligrams of hydrocodone. So the Lortab 7.5 was stronger than the hydrocodone 5's. Same medicine just different strengths. Not sure why the pharmacy would change the strengths on you. I would contact them and ask.
The difference in strengths of the medications explains why you are not getting the same pain relief. Contact the pharmacist and ask why the change in strength from 7.5 mgs hydrocodone down to 5 mgs hydrocodone?
Hope this helps,
