We have no insurance and we have been told that my husband has acinic cell carcinoma of the parotid gland. He has had surgery which just about took all our savings.
With Cancer you are able to apply for Social Security. My friend had breast cancer and the county aid sent her to Social Security as the acceptance is much faster. Since we applied they told us we had pending Medic Aid. With that I found a wonderful doctor that treated her in a flash. The hospital social service department was so helpful too.
When you are at Social security fill out the papers right there. It is much faster and the people working at Social Security knew she was sincere.
