She sees a suboxin dr. Once a month. He only takes cash and it costs $2oo. Oo a month. Her insurance pays a good portion of the medicine, she pays 30. Dollars for it. She is a low-in come mother and doesnt recieve any child support. She went and did what you have to do through the court system, but still got nowhere. Its very hard on her with rent, a car pmt. And the dr. Visit. Where could she go for some assistant?
I assume you have the equivalent of MediCal, which is for low-income in CA. Its very tough to find a Dr. that takes Medicaid. But, you might want to establish a relationship with a regular Internist that also gives Subox, and you will then just be charged the regular visit, usually around $75. I see a regular Internist & he takes Medicare. The first person I went to for Subox. was a DO (chiropractor), I think, and I was charged the $200 cash each visit. So, I searched for an MD to help me deal with thyroid & all other medical problems, as well. I combined regular visits with Subox check-in. He finally trusted me enough to give 90 day refills! Good luck!
