I love taking Effexor XR for my panic attacks, but I cannot have an organism. I have heard that Lexapro has less sexual side effects.
Are you depressed as well as having anxiety? If not, ask doc about a benzo, such as Xanax or Valium. Effexor is not a good choice if you are anxious, from personal experience I found it made anxiety worse.
If you try a benzo, that annoying side effect might go away.
Wishing you all the best,
hi noexcuses, effexor is definitely one of them drugs that can cause that problem.in fact most of them do the very same thing.when i want to find that "happy place" i skip the night before.Im not recommending you do this cause "im not a doctor" just a person who found a way to do both.talk with your doctor and others who had this problem and see if changing medications has helped.
ask your doctor about wellbutrin ive been on lexapro and effexor both made me loose my ability to get aroused or have orgasms. Welbutrin takes you the other way and I am not 20 yrs old but i am having better orgasms than ever and it has been going on for a long time. sex will take away anxiety. tell me who is stressed after an orgasm??? if so, I am so sorry.
also is the anxiety part of cycle of emotions and phases you go through if so you might want to try a mood stabilizer . Dont do what I have done. I got perscriptions over the years and would take them and feel like I have failed the drug. Keep expecting the best results and make sure someone outside of yourself is observing and documenting your behavior. I walked around like a zombi taking 2 hrs to write a simple email it took a good friend from out of town visiting to really make me see what was going on.
good luck I have lost many years because I suffered wrong perscriptions useless if not made me worse. cant cry over that just going forward to make the next 50 years my greatest I will be the georgia o'keefe of my world. happy orgasmic passionate for life kind of woman you can be that too or that kind of man
