I am prescribed Oxy 80's, but now they give me OP 80's which make me sick, bloated, tired and they don't take the pain away. WHen I was first prescribed Oxy it saved my life I went from bed ridden and miserable to being able to spend time with my kids, work and live normal. But now these OP's are sending me backwards back to miserable. Is there anyway to get my old Oxy back? I live in Utah, but I;m hoping its not just my state thats stopping people from the prescriptions that saved their lives. If anyone can tell me how to get the old formula Oxy not these OP's it would save my life. Help needed please:0)
Sorry, join the club all of us Oxy users are in. Perdue holds the patent and there are no more of the old kind being made. Any you find are leftovers and once they are gone, they are gone. I, too, am suffering. These past few months have been living hell. I'm trying to get my pain Dr to change out my long acting drug. I'm so mad that they did this. I had great pain coverage with the old formulation. The new formulation is not worth a you-know-what! Perdue is bending to the pressure brought about by kids dying from shooting and snorting these pills. The parents, rather than seeing that their child is an addict, wants to blame the manufacturer instead. They have had pressure from parents, lawmakers and the DEA to make them more tamper resistant which is really oxymoronic! Addicts will still find ways to kill themselves instead of getting help for their addictions So we, the pain patients, get to pay for it! Sorry I'm ranting today!!!
They are no more. I went thru hell as well, finally after three months of taking this useless new formula my doctor did change me to avinza. It is not near as good but it is better than the new formula. I was doing so well until the change. The symptoms you wrote were exactly the same for me. the component used to make it tamper proof is diffictult digest there for difficult to absorb. Good luck. Talk to your doctor about another long acting
Are we talking Oxycontin here? My brother lives in Tucson & that's what he gets for his chrontic pain. Or are talking Oxycodone? At any rate he takes 30mg of Oxycotin 4 times a day, & something else for breakthru pain.(can't remember what he said). Just curious so I can warn him too. He'll be really upset, as it is the only thing that has helped his pain. Thanks...
