I'm currently on percocet for a fractured pelvis and i don't want to mess up my liver. Is there anything else i can take that had no tylonel or acephemine ( or however you spell it) I've tried iboprofun and it doesn't work. Thanks for any responses.
Yes, there are many pan killers without tylenol, some have aspirin in them such as percodan. Same medication you are on, oxycodone, just has aspirin not tylenol. Hope it is still being made. You can call your pharmacist. Although teejay, pain meds in that category, I have no idea how much you are taking: 5's, 10's, or 7.5's, there may be a comparable amount to substitute in oxycodone only. Please ask your doc or pharmacist. Knowledge is power, my friend.
Good luck and best wishes, hoping for a rapid recovery from your injuries.
Peace and love,
There are forms of oxycodone which is the opiate in percocet which do not have the acetaminophen in them. I wouldn't worry about short term use of percocet affecting your liver though unless you already have a compromised liver. As long as you are taking the percocet as prescribed, you will not be getting too much acetaminophen and therefore will not hurt your liver.
