If you're referring to oxycontin ( oxycodone without acetaminophen) and Oxycodone such as percocet (with acetaminophen) yes there is a difference. Mainly one is a time released version and the other is instant release. Both are strong opiates used for moderate to severe pain and both are a class II controlled substance.

I've been taking 15mg oxycodone 3x for several years. My Dr recently raised me to 20mg oxycodone 3x.
