I have had Eosinophilic fasciitis now for over 15 months i am seeing a rheumatologist and a dermatologist for this but up to now nothing has improved with the drugs im taking. i would like to know how long this condition will last for. and also what caused it in the first place . could you shed some light on this for me please ,
Are you taking a steroid? That is supposed to help relive pain. They have also found that immune suppressing drugs help, and can take the place of steroid therapy. There is no known reason why you developed such a rare disease. I can tell you that the symptoms may last anywhere from 3-5 years. You will then plateau for a while. Unfortunately, the symptoms will recur after a period of time. I hope this will help some.
