Our daughter has a G-tube used for all feeding and medicine access, so taste is not an issue. Additives and sweeteners are an ISSUE though as she is severely medically compromised, including a genetic mitochondrial disease with intestinal issues affected very adversely (by additives and sweeteners). She also has an autoimmune disease (deficiency) with asthma and frequent upper respiratory infections, requiring the constant use of Cetirizine HCl. We are under enormous financial stress with all the medical expenses, thus our reliance on generic drugs at discounted rates if possible. Thanks!
I don't think there is any cetirizine liquid available that is sugar free and without sweetners. How old is your daughter? Please add answer as a comment.
Just a suggestion ... I don't know how appropriate this would be for a G-tube, but if your daughter is old enough to take 1 cetirizine tablet, then you could crush the tablet and mix it with water and add it to the G-tube.
