Is there a antidepressed that is safe to take while breastfeeding?

yes, there are. But it is on case to case of which one the doctor might use. Check with your OB Physician, Peds. Doc. and your Pharmacist. They all can be a big help for you.

My best friend was prescribed Lexapro when she was about 6-7months pregnant because she was going through a horrific time. I would think that a medicine that you can take pregnant can probably be taken when you are breastfeeding.(she didn't nurse) Her daughter was totally perfect too! In fact, now that I think about it, she's 4 now and she has never even had an ear infection. So talk to your OB and they will be the best to help you but I know there are meds to help you.
