It is for me and I have no thyroid at all. We are all different though. I started out on Synthroid, which is synthetic. I was on it for 6 months and it made no diference my body could not absorb it. Switched over to Armour thyroid and within 2 days I could tell a difference. Armour is made from natural (pig) byproducts and was much more compatible with my system. I wouldn't change it for the world. One thing though is that as a natural replacement, it is much more sensitive to changes in your own body - diet, stress, etc.
Be sure that your endo is testing you for T3, T4 and Total TSH assay if you decide to try Armour.
