My son age 14 has just been changed from Concerta to Strattera. He has to do formal study at his school from 7 pm to 9 pm six days a week. Last year he used a 10mg Ritalin pill as a booster. Would a booster still likely be needed now he is on Strattera, and what are good booster options?
I tried Strattera when it first came out, and found that it made me very tired all day (despite taking it at night), and I gained a bunch of weight on it. It did little to nothing for my ADD symptoms.
As for the booster question, any stimulant (Ritalin, Dexedrine, Adderall, etc.) that is short acting would be helpful and wouldn't interact badly with Strattera.
I hope your son has better luck on Strattera than I did.
