i am 53yrs old. i been diagnosed with androgenitic alopecia. my dermotoligist perscribed 1mc of propeica dailey. will i have to take it the rest of my life?
There is some evidence that finasteride may be helpful to post menopausal women. A dose of 2.5 mg or 5 mg may be better than 1 mg.
Indeed, a study of 1 mg finasteride in post menopausal women with genetic hair loss showed that this dose had little benefit. However, the study has limitations so it is possible that it has some help as well
