I'm needing top know if these Meds Are Going to Cause me TROUBLES Problems with me taking Methadone HCL, 15 mg 3 X Daily. Are these Meds Compatable? With the Methadone. LAST I'm also Sure or been told That I am not Take Ambiant With Methadone HCL? PLEASE help me! Thank you
I currently take 35mg of Methadone per day for chronic pain. I also take Effexor, 2mg of Clonazepam, 300mg of Tramadol, at one time took Abilify, and a few others. As long as the doctor is aware of all the meds that you're currently on, they then can adjust the amount according to potentiating effects that occur. Even with all of these meds, once my system got used to it all, my doctor said that it was ok for me to have a few drinks at a bachelors party that I was to attend, in addition to the one or two glasses of wine that I have in the evenings.
I am however writing about my experiences, and I suppose that everyone is different and reacts differently to these combo of meds. As I mentioned earlier, as long as the doctor says that it's ok, it should be ok. I should also add and stress that if you have any shadow of doubt in regards to the doctors knowledge in regards to these meds, then you'd want to get a second opinion. There have been many people in the past who have died from a combo of benzos and methadone mixed together under doctors instructions. Lately due to this, doctors are much more careful than what they were in the past.
Hope that this is of some help to you!
