Since I was in my teens I've been suffering from menstrual migraine and notice that I'm not gaining much weight. I have nausea with vomiting during my period.I'm in my mid 40's.
I also suffered from the same thing and this only stopped when i reached the menopause as my GP had said would happen. I can imagine that you will not gain weight whilst you have vomiting and feel nauseas, as at this time you cannot eat much if any thing. I myself have lost weight quite rapidly whilst going through a time of feeling nauseas and vomiting after eating even small meals. I would advice speaking to your GP and asking for advice. I am certain he/she would offer help and medication to prevent nausea/ sickness. Maybe also to monitor weight.
