While Lexapro (escitalopram) is very similar to Celexa (citalopram), they are different enough to not be comparable as what works for one person is different than what works for another. In other words, Lexapro for some works better, for others Celexa works better just depends on the person and their individual chemistry. I will say that Lexapro and Zoloft are the most widely prescribed antidepressants for depression and anxiety.
