I have bronchitis which I am almost over, but not I have doubke ear infections, and a throbbing head. Doc gave me 250mg Keflex and 25mg Zipsor. Are they safe to take while breastfeeding my 4 month old baby girl?
The manufacturer of Zipsor suggests that breastfeeding women should not take this medication. Therefore, if you are breastfeeding, talk with your healthcare provider about the risks and benefits of taking Zipsor.Because diclofenac is cleared from the body quickly, however, it is not expected that Zipsor use in nursing women would cause serious problems for the nursing child in most cases. However, it is a good idea to watch for any changes or problems in your child. In particular, watch for blood in the stool, unusual fussiness, or other unexplained changes.
Regarding Keflex, If you are nursing, it is known that Keflex passes through breast milk. Therefore, you are recommended to stop nursing while taking it.
