Taking two pills of half a dose should be no different that taking one pill of a full dose. I take it you mean, per say, if one were taking x drug at 100mg would 2 50mg pills do the same thing? Yes. It is done frequently in the hospital if they do not have a particular dose they might give two pills at the half dose to make a full dose. As long as all the properties are the same the drug should work the same. The only instance this will not work is if you were taking a dose of a long acting drug, again say 100mg, two 50mg doses of the same drug in a short acting form would not be the same as 100 mg of the long acting kind. In this instance the properties are not the same so it doesnt work, but two 50mg long acting pills would be the same as 100mg of a long acting pill. Does that make sense?
