my 5 year old drinks pediasure he does not eat much food the pediasure turns to a solid mass and it binds my child up after about 3 days of him not going we give him pedialax is this safe & what are the long term side affect's.I am affraid his body is going to get dependant on pedialax. thank you. from concerned parents. we also give him 3 fiber gummies a day.
You should not use pedialax long term unless advised by your doctor. Pedialax is designed to treat occasional constipation only.
Long term effects are exactly as you fear - your sons body may become dependant on a laxative for a bowel motion.
