is extremely thick and it takes about 30-45 min when I donate blood. I started taking baby (81mg) aspirin a day to thin it. My cardiologist says this dose is ok and will not cause harm. A friend of mine w/the same condition says her dr. said it will.
Is it safe to take a baby aspiriin if you have mitra valve prolapse w/mild regurgitation? My blood?

I couldn't over-ride any cardiologists advice but as mentioned in the link below:
Blood thinners (anticoagulants), which can include aspirin, help prevent blood clots in people who also have atrial fibrillation. I think your doctor may be right.
I think from all I know about aspirin and cardiovascular problems even with my mom the doctor (he is director of cardiology) he seems to think because of her age and other factors that this is a safe dose for her I have an Uncle who is seen by a GP who has him on a daily adult dose of Apsirin I think if I had to choose I would trust what your cardiologist has told you, please take good care,
