Just to add to Rajives answer. They are both benzodiazepines. One is short acting, thats the xanax. It will have left or leave your system say, 10 hours after you take it. The long acting one is valium. It can stay in your body for days after you take it. So, the two combined, will sedate you, thats a certainty. Its not recommened you mix these benzos. In fact even on a low dose, depending on your body chemistry, you could possibly have an adverse effect on you.very best to you.
