Is it safe to just stop 4 mg of Xanex a day and start 3 mg of Klonopin ?

Hello mograce1. Yes, it is. But start anew, meaning begin the Klonopin the following day, when you've finished your xanax. You might feel a bit anxious, for a short period of time because your body will be adjusting itself to the klonopin. Klonopin is a long acting benzodiazepine, and will remain in your body a long time and so it works a bit differently than the xanax, which is a short acting benzodiazepine, and leaves your body very quickly.
