When I first got pregnant I was carrying twins. Then 11 weeks later I lost one of them. 7 1/2 months into the pregnancy, my placenta ruptured and my child was born 6 weeks early. For the longest time I longed for my lost twin and wanted to have another baby, twins hopefully. As selfish as it sounds, I would like to have a total of three children. With modern technology and the option of a cerclage, maybe it can be possible to have twins without complication.
Whether you can have a full term baby after having problems in your first pregnancy will depend on what the underlying conditions were or are for you. Please talk to you doctor/gynecologist about the risks and the possibility of a full term birth.
Plus this time the doctors will be aware of your previous history so will monitor you more.
With pregnancy's it's always difficult to say that everything will definitely go well.
