The worst withdrawals ever in my life.I heard methodone stays in you longer.havent taken methodone for bout a month and the subs still didn't work. No insurance so i'm on my own with this demon! Please help me understand why suboxone wont work. I'm desperate for a solution
It's not so much about HOW long you wait, it's what score you reach on the COWS worksheet. Google the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale and take the test. You need to score at least 26 before you can begin subs. With no opiates in your system, it's likely you're taking too much sub. Most people can be inducted on much less. It's very possible the dose was too high and it made you sick. Please google the test and read up on it. Keep in touch and let us know how your doing.
Christine is right. And Sub's are extremely potent. I believe the pharm. companies are simply out to make money. Shame it's at our expense(both financially and physically). That said, if you are not already in strong withdrawal the sub's will precipitate it. It's called precipitated withdrawal syndrome. Bad stuff. Taken properly, 8-12mg at most will stop withdrawal from just about any habit. Keep in mind, withdrawal is very personal and subjective. Now, I posted to tell all us addicts(recovering or active) that they should try Gabapentin or Lyrica. They are very similar in their action and effect. For many people they not only stop most withdrawal symptoms but greatly reduce craving as well(non-prescription use). I beg you to go to a Dr. and request one of these"miracle" drugs. I pray this helps someone.
