stroke patient, takes 2.5mg of coumadin twice a day
If I understand your question right, a stroke patient has been on coumadin (to reduce the risk of another stroke). The doctor at some point discontinues the medication. There could be many different reasons why this was done and knowing that reason would help answer your question. If this patient was put back on coumadin, there must be a perceived increase in the risk of stroke.
