Dear kariemarie, its important you let your suboxone dr know NOW, as he/she may switch you to the sister medication, subutex, works the same, but does NOT contains naloxone, less medicine to get to the baby. Subs babies do usually fair better than babies born to opiate addicted mom, suboxone is a long acting opiate replacement, a little different than a regular opiate. You should also tell your OB, but call the subs dr first. If you are not legally on it, you need to get a suboxone dr really fast. You have to taper off subs, it is not a medication you should just stop, but you need to call the subs today. Congrats. Patti
