I already have hypertension and took the first dose from the Titration Pack. My blood pressure went from what has been about 145/85 to 158/101. Since this was an initial small dose, should I stop taking it? Will this be a probable continuing problem and increase with higher doses?
Often blood-pressure readings can be very labile! A "one off" reading is not a good reflection on what is really happening with your blood-pressure. Wait a few days, or weeks even, and then maybe take a reading every hour for as long as practical to get a clearer picture of what is happening.
Another point worth noting is that it may take a while for your new blood-pressure medication to work to its maximum effect.
