It is my understanding that flexiril is contraindicated for elderly patients due to the frequent occurence of severe anxiety, hallucinations and paranoia that many elderly patients on flexeril have experienced.
Flexeril can be used for the elderly but in much smaller doses. My dad used it for his back but had to use only 1/2 of a tablet because of his age. Elderly are very sensitive to any medications especially muscle relaxers and pain meds. Some elderly have to be watch very closely when taking meds because of the side effects most of them cause. I'm currently taking lexapro 20mg, Wellbutrin 150 mg, and was wondering if its safe to add flexeril?
