My drug suppplier reccomends I chanbge from Cymbalta. What strength Efflexor shoiuld be as effective as Cymbalta 60mghanks
Both of these medications are prescribed for pain caused by peripheral neuropathy, although Cymbalta is the drug far more prescribed. As far as numbness, don't know that either are going to help that. If you and your doctor decide to switch, you'll want to slowly decrease the Cymbalta before starting the Effexor, then have to slowly increase the Effexor to theraputic levels for you. There isn't an equivalency between the two as far as dosage and I don't recommend just stopping the Cymbalta and starting the Effexor at a theraputic level due to the adverse side effects that may result.
