I would like to know this too. I've been taking darvocet for 12 yrs. for neuropathy, along with elavil, one every night. It helps some, but never actually blots out the pain. Thank you, BeeJay

Hi to Jay1980 and my friend beejay39, Alrighty... Darvocet is actually a fully synthetic opioid analgesic. It is a narcortic, and it's designed to treat mild pain. It's a combination of Dextropropoxyphene and Acetaminophen. Take care... keemo7
