I have started developing a fever also with intense shakes and shivering.
You need to go to the emergency room or Urgent Care. You should not try to treat a kidney infection on your own!! You could actually have a kidney stone. I once thought I had a kidney infection and it turned out to be multiple stones. Even so, a kidney infection is nothing to fool around with. Your kidneys can shut down pretty quickly if not treated properly. You have no idea what organism is infecting your kidneys. That is how you determine an antibiotic. Not where the infection is but what organism is doing the infecting! You need to be evaluated by a healthcare provider ASAP. If you cant get in to see your Dr today then go to ER or Urgent Care!
