Is celexa working for you for anxiety and depression?

I took Lexapro, which is a derivative of Celexa, to help me with anxiety, along with a PRN medication, Ativan, for when I did have an anxiety attack. I didn't stay on it long, just a couple of months, but it seemed to help keep the attacks at bay. I had some other issues with the medication which is why I had to stop. I now only use Ativan, but since my panic attacks aren't too frequent anymore, thank God, I am only needing to take a 1 mg Ativan maybe once a month or less. I don't really have any depression issues, or I would definitely find another SSRI or NSSRI to help with that. I've heard great things about Lexapro, Effexor and/or Paxil in use for Generalized Anxiety Disorder as well as depression. I hope you find the drug regime to help you:-)
