My doctor recommended that I try Victoza for type 2 diabetes and I have declined. I take so many meds for various ailments, and I have tired of medications that seem to have side or long term effects that are worst that the disease it is meant to cure. It frightens me when a med has a black box warning that if I have develop difficulty swallowing, consult a doctor because it may be thyroid cancer. I'll take my chances with diabetes.
From the reviews I have read about Victoza most people have had positive experiences. You are quite within your rights to deny using a medicine.
The link below has some reviews.
I was nervous about taking a drug that has only been out on the market such a short time. But I trust my doctor and I have had a terrible time trying to control my blood sugar reading. I know how deadly diabeties is. I have seen the problems in my family and friends. I figured it was a good gamble.
