I've heard that they are reformulating the drug and that is why I can't get it now. The pharmacy said I need to pay $800 to get the brand name oxycontin which is too much.
Omg 800!!! That's insane. That sounds like street prices. The issue with generic OCs is that Perdue Pharma has a patent on them and after many court battles, almost all other companies stopped making them. I think the patent will expire in 2013 so at that time, the generics will become available again. But for now they are very very hard to find. The other option is to get oycodone (not timed release) and have to take them more often. Or even try ms contin( timed release morphine). Either way, good luck!
Hi Shady. If you look at the forum I think the first page before this one, you may find me suggesting various options to help you pay for your meds. It is long, but I think the info is valuable and worth in giving it a shot. I think you will find me under lagredano as my name. I worked for KP in health plan for 12 years advocating and helping those in need of cont... medical treatment. and obtaining the necessary meds from your doctor. It is worth trying and Im am sure if you follow your Health Plan protocols, you will obtain the help you need. -lulu
