20 yr. old patient having 4 wisdom teeth removed. Not being put to sleep.
well i hear the bottom ones are horrible to get out (i only have 2 top ones and only one starting to show, yeah!!! ) so i would say "give me xanax 1mg" and take 2 of those cuz its painful and xan is stronger. so i would say 20 would be the right amount as long as you dont continue using
Possibly, if the dentist is using nitrous oxide!! That is BRUTAL procedure!! I was on valium, and nitrous for ONE tooth pulled, and it was brutal. anyone that I know that is getting their wisdom teeth taken out be it one, or four (and this is four... ) have been put in an IV twilight sleep. Admitted 20mg of valium is quite a bit, especially for someone who doesn't take it, but darn, this is a majorly PAINFUL procedure!! Are the wisdom teeth impacted? Does the person NOT want to be put out, or is it the dentist? Are you going to an oral surgeon, or just a dentist, because if it is a regular dentist, that explains the reason, (unless there is another one). This is considered a surgical procedure which is why the oral surgeon puts people out!! BTW, is this person in chronic pain? If they are, then absolutely, definitely NOT enough!!
