I started taking pills on the 29th of May, which was the first Sunday after my period. My question is about the pills. Isn't it there's 21 pills and 7 sugar pills that you take when you get your period just to keep the routine. The thing is I'm irregular. I have my period now, and if I was just on the right track I'm not suppose to have my period 5 days from now and I still have 5 regular pills to take. Like by the time I'm finished with my period that's when I'm suppose to take those sugar pills. I'm confused, does it matter though?
It doesnt matter. Just keep taking the pills and they come in the pack. The ONLY time you pay attention to bleeding is when you first start. Once you begin taking the Pill, just keep taking them as they come and start a new pack after you finish the last pack. Sooner or later your periods will straighten out and become more regular. When you first start the Pill you can have some irregular bleeding. It is normal and expected. It takes your body a few months to get used to the hormones sometimes. Some lucky women are regular and on time right away but the majority have some weird bleeding in the beginning. Just DO NOT alter the way you take them at all no matter what your body does. As long as you take your pills like you are supposed to, you are protected from pregnancy after seven days of active pills, even during the inactive pills
