Is iron good for a sickle cell patient?
- 1 Jun 2016 by Mzz Morah
You have to see a doctor about this. From my understanding is that sickle cell anemia patients have enough iron in their blood. However a proportion of those blood cells have a specific sickle shape and don't function. I do not know what therapies are available as it attacks black Americans (presumably some Africans). Not a big demographic in Australia where I am.
