My (almost) 7yr old son is struggling terribly in school his ADHD has become so out of hand they are talking about taking stronger disciplinary actions (ISS & OSS) the problem is his psychiatrist refuses to medicate for the adhd bcuz we tried adderol and it made him very aggressive. That's why I am hoping Intuniv will be a good fit since it's a non stimulant and is used also for aggression, however I'm afraid if it will make him gain weight his psychiatrist will say no because when she put him on risperdal he put on 30 lbs in a matter of 4 months and we had to take him off.
