I have plaque psoriasis and after 2 years with it I used Clobex spray and it really cleared my skin well. I've used it once (for 2 weeks) and now my skin is irritated again. I want to use it again, but I'm worried about how often I should use it? How long a break I should take in between uses? I read a peer-reviewed paper on Clobex spray and there have been no studies done for intermittent use. Anyone have any experience/suggestions? Thanks!
How often should I use Clobex spray for plaque psoriasis?
I have moderate scalp psoriasis and have been using Clobex spray on and off for about 2 years. My dermatologist recommended for me to use it as needed but also to combine/use an over the counter shampoo (I use Neutrogena T-Gel). In average I use Clobex 3 times a month. There were instances when I used it up to 3 days in a roll (until the flakes are gone). I have been getting new prescriptions every time I run out of the medication so I am hoping it is OK for the long term... If you hear anything different please let me know : /
I'll be seeing a different dermatologist on July 15 to to make sure this medication is not going to damage my health in the long run though... i'll keep you posted!
