I have been taking Klonopin for 20 yrs. I'm down from 1.5 mg to .25mg and I'm not sleeping.
lescarole, Hi, firstly I need to know how much have you been taking over the 20 year period? You went from 1.5mg to .25mg and how long did that take? Did you drop from 1.5 mg to .25 or 1.5 mg to 1.25 mg, then 1.25 to 1.0 mg etc. Dropping your dosage from 1.5 to .25 mg is quite a drop if you did do it that way. I would expect a decrease that quickly would impact your circadian rhythm. I would expect little to no sleep at all if you decreased your dosage from 1.5 to .25mg from one day to the next. If you choose, will you explain how you dropped your dosage? A more accurate answer about what you may safely take while continuing to decrease your Klonopin dosage can then be provided. Thank you lescarole...
